At Gestair, we want to keep updating all the information regarding what is happening with the COVID-19 virus and our company.
During these days, and permanently, measures and action protocols have been adopted at an operational level, adapting at all times to the new regulations and limitations established by the various authorities, including those issued by the Government of Spain in its Royal Decree last night.
A multidisciplinary working group has been established at a general level. This group is made up of people responsible for the different areas of the company: Legal, HR, Communication and Production. They have been analysing the crisis on a daily basis and following up on the recommendations of the health authorities and other relevant national and international bodies.
Gestair has taken the appropriate measures with the different work teams regarding working from home and isolation, not only to protect everyone's health, but also to continue providing continuity to all operations, projects and services.
With regard to the company's two main areas, Gestair Aviation and Gestair MRO, the following specific measures have been taken in each case:
At Gestair Aviation we continue to assess every flight request we receive, from the strict safeguard of passenger and crew safety to the compliance with the regulations already imposed by the authorities in relation to flights to/from Spain or Schengen. In addition, a new protocol has been established for the thorough disinfection of the aircraft after each flight.
As in Gestair Aviation, Gestair MRO has also implemented the recent safety directive EASA# 2020-01 regarding the agency´s recommendations on disinfection of aircraft entering our hangars in order to reduce the risk of virus expansion and protect our employees by providing them with the required protective equipment according to the work performed. Consequently, Gestair MRO is in a position to continue providing its services in close collaboration with all our customers.
At Gestair, we continue to work with a firm commitment to think first and foremost about people and their welfare, with employee-company cooperation being vital to ensure that the aviation industry can effectively contribute to containing COVID-19 from a personal and professional perspective.
We are at your disposal for any doubt or query that may arise.
