In October 2009, the DC8-73 F belonging to Gestair Cargo, division specialized in the transport of medium and large freight of Gestair Group's business unit Gestair Commercial Aviation, has reached 95,000 flight hours on a route between the Tenerife and Madrid.
The figure represents a milestone for this impressive freighter with a length of 57.12 meters and a wingspan of 43.40 meters, capable to carry a payload of 46 metric tonnes.
Since its acquisition in 2002, the DC8-73F, that on December 31st will make his last flight for Gestair Cargo, has transported 90,367,969 kilos of cargo.
