Gestair Airlines began to operate in the
regular aviation passage area in 2005, with a program of short-range routes.
After a year covering Iberia's “air shuttle” service between Madrid and Barcelona and comining it with medium-range services to destinations such as London, Paris, Brussels, rome or Dakar,
we began to fly to Havana (in 2006), operating for the first time long-range flights. We currently also cover services to
Santo Domingo and
Rio de Janeiro.Gestair Airlines offers a
Wet Lease service to third parties by virtue of which we supply the airplane, the crew, the maintenance and the insurance, for which
we have our own AOC (Air Operator Certificate), approved by the
Directorate General for Civil Aviation with an authorisation to to transport both passage and cargo to any destination in the world. We also
have approval for Low Visibility operations.
This same AOC allows us to operate executive aviation services.
In order to fulfill and surpass the expectations that arise in the sector,
Gestair Airlines has the following assets on ground:
- Qualified and experienced personnel capable to rapidly react and make this type of operations agile.
- An H-24 area for the follow-up, supervision and control of these flights.
- Processing and control of all the instruction, certification and licensing of its crews.
- Programming area to optimise the assignation of flights to the crews.
- Departament in charge of maintaining the cabin documentation in order and updated for the flight.
- Area in charge of the supervision of suppliers in ground operations and security.
- Quality department to verify the smooth running of all the different areas of responsibility.
