History

In 1977, Gestair is founded. It is the first company in Spain specialising in Executive Aviation, oriented towards on-demand air transport.

Gestair detects new market opportunities and quickly gears itself towards a market diversification whilst assuming the management, maintenance and operation of aircraft belonging mainly to third parties.

In 1994 a Strategic Alliance between Gestair, Emair and Conair is formed. This is the origin of the company Cegisa, that on merging with Gestair in 1997, forms the beginning of the group.

In 1995, diversification begins with the creation of the Property Developer Levacci and in 1996, with the concession for the distribution of Smart in the central area of Spain.

In 1999, Gestair Group enters into commercial aviation as the main shareholder in Cygnus Air, a company that specialises in air cargo and in 2000, with the takeover of Audeli, the group establishes a foothold in the passenger transport business.

In 2004, Gestair Group, its main area of business now being Executive Aviation and Commercial Aviation goes a step further and takes shareholding control of the European Flyers holding company thereby incorporating the training of pilots and professionals into the group’s activities.

During 2006, the group develops its  2007 – 2010 Strategic Plans for  growth and internationalisation and decides to carry these out by concentrating its efforts in the three most important areas of the aeronautical world : Executive Aviation, Commercial Aviation and Training.

To this effect, it has reorganised itself in three business units: GESTAIR Private Aviation, GESTAIR Commercial Aviation and GESTAIR Aviation Training.

Thirty years of experience, aeronautical specialisation, a solid business background and distinguishing service back up the Gestair Group’s growth potential, that has been maintained day by day in excellence of service in each and every one of its lines of business.
