Since January 1, Gestair, a pioneer in sustainability, has been operating all flights marketed in its fleet with sustainable aviation fuel, SAF, a fuel that reduces emissions of harmful gases into the atmosphere by up to 80% compared to conventional fuel.
Gestair has incorporated this measure into its ambitious Horizon program, where the Group is committed to moving towards more sustainable mobility.
Now, all Gestair Aviation Charter customers, flying with SAF fuel, are traveling with the same comforts, but in a more sustainable way. In addition, they can choose on each route the percentage of SAF beyond the minimum established by Gestair. With total flexibility.
Gestair thus demonstrates its willingness to continue adopting solutions that meet current market and customer demand. In addition, through the Horizon program, it offsets emissions on all its commercialized flights. So now with the incorporation of the SAF, in addition to offsetting, it is reducing emissions of harmful gases into the atmosphere.
The Horizon program achieved in 2022 the compensation of 99% of emissions from flights marketed on its aircraft, investing in different projects committed to the environment. During 2023 Gestair signed an agreement with the energy company Repsol through which both companies have created areas of collaboration for the analysis and formulation of proposals aimed at promoting the development and consumption of sustainable aviation fuels, improving efficiency, carbon capture and offsetting emissions.
