With objectives of continuous improvement, excellence in the service and maximum safety, Gestair obtains approval on the part of the Spanish Aviation Safety and Security Agency (AESA) for landing operations in conditions of low visibility, CAT II operations, for its Global 6000 fleet.
This approval gives Gestair aircraft a greater operating capacity as it allows aircraft to land in airports which, having available the appropriate ground facilities, are faced with some adverse weather conditions with regard to visibility. Without this approval, the operation to this airport would need to be cancelled and the flight would have to be planned again; this time to another destination with more favourable conditions. Thanks to said new approval, this will no longer be necessary.
Passengers of Gestair, with a fleet of 37 business aircraft, now won’t have to move any further from the airport closest to their final destination as a result of low visibility weather conditions.
