Gestair is Successful in the Bidding for Ground Support for the Flight Operations of the Cartographic and Geological Institute of Catalonia

The area of Line Maintenance of Gestair Aviation has been successful in the bidding for the lending of ground support service for the flight operations of the Cartographic and Geological Institute of Catalonia (ICGC).

This support consists of the carrying out of necessary tasks on the part of the Line Maintenance Team of Gestair Aviation, for the preparation of the aircraft and of the crew prior to the start of the flight, as well as its reception once its execution has finished. Other tasks which are usually carried out by the ground support of the operation are:

• Transfer of aircraft and crew to the exit and to the entrance of the hangar.
• Coordination with fuel suppliers.
• Recording of data in the logbook and engine parameters.
• Support in the assembly and in the movement of sensors.
• Pre-flight and post-flight inspection.

Gestair guarantees this service 365 days a year mainly thanks to the fact that the ICGC is located in the hangar that they have in the El Prat Airport in Barcelona.

Line Maintenance, with main base in the airports of Madrid and Barcelona and presence in the main Spanish airports, is made up of a team of professionals specialized in aeronautical maintenance, who are responsible for carrying out scheduled line maintenance, corrective maintenance, ramp services and AOG, among other tasks, in order to have the aircraft ready before and after each flight.
